Wasp RT3 Solo

Although at a glance it’s appearance is similar to the “Metisse” created by Derek and Don Rickman, without it’s pretty fibreglass it’s clearly not a copy.
Ridden by some great rider’s, Rob Jordan, Ken Messenger, Frank Underwood, I could go on. The RT3 entered the world scrambling scene with some success. It was also used as a road racer and has been made into some nice street bikes.

The first trials solo from Wasp. First made in 1963, the RT4 was in production for around 10 years.
First ridden in competition by the likes of Arthur Headland, and Geoff Chandler with 2 stroke engines.

Sidecar cross is probably what first comes to mind when you think of WASP Rhind-tutt. For over two decades during the height of the sport, those big four stroke engines were found almost universally in Wasp frames.
